The Cold Water Method - Why We’re Here

We started The Cold Water Method to act as a bridge. Too often, getting into open water swimming and cold water therapy feels intimidating because of the "club culture" and egos that can dominate the sport. We wanted to build a community that prioritizes support over status.

Our approach is about removing those barriers and creating a space where people of all abilities can thrive. Whether you’re looking for the mental clarity of the cold or the physical challenge of the sport, we focus on you. We’re here to help you get into the water safely and confidently, without having to "prove" yourself to anyone. At the end of the day, we are about your goals—no matter how big or small they may be.

We partnered with Rock and River because they share our values and our commitment to a safe environment.

We use their purpose-built lake because it offers an authentic open water experience in a setting that is treated and more controlled. It simply provides a clean, safe, and consistent space for our swimmers to enjoy the water.
