MAY 2026 #1
One week in, and The Cold Water Method is already becoming something we’re incredibly proud of.
This past week we held our first group coaching sessions alongside several 1:1 sessions, with lake temperatures ranging from 14–17°C — cold enough to demand respect, yet perfect for building confidence in open water. We also visited Stainforth Force and Lumb Hole Falls, where the water temperatures dropped to a refreshing 8–10°C.
What’s stood out most is the people. Watching swimmers step beyond their comfort zones and reconnect with nature has been genuinely rewarding. Open water swimming has a timeless quality to it — fresh air, cold water, and the rare feeling of being fully present.
A big shoutout to David, Adam, Brandon, Ava, Flyn, Becca, and Stevie for all their effort this week, and to Ana for keeping everyone fed with post-swim pizzas.
This first week has shown that The Cold Water Method is about far more than swimming. It’s about community, challenge, resilience, and reconnecting with something real.
We’re only just getting started.
